Mt. Calvary Deliverance Church was planted in April 1999 where  Pastor Terrence Shaw serves as the Senior Pastor with a goal of "Building Faithful Families For Fulfilling Futures" and reaching those far from Christ. With the help of people committed to seeing that dream fulfilled, MCDC has experienced significant growth.

    Pastor Terrence Shaw is a native American straight from Brooklyn NY. He loves the Lord and lives by the scripture 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

    Co-Pastor Catherine Shaw was born in Guyana South America. She serves along side her husband Pastor Terrence Shaw. She believes in giving because she knows what it is like not to have. First Lady believes in the words of our Lord Jesus. “It is more blessed to give than to receive” Acts 20:35

  • Violet Powell - Elder  circlefacebook 

    Elder Violet Powell aka Rose Clement is a Native Jamaican. Mother of 6 children and 7 grandchildren. She is the author of Strictly Women. Elder Violet loves the Lord and focuses on Foreign missions. She demonstrates the love of God by being a blessing to those who are in need both locally and internationally.

    Elder Betty Kouassi is a woman after God's own heart. She has been serving the Lord for over 40 years around the world. She has established ministries in two countries in West Africa and is currently working on an orphanage in Togo. She loves people and is passionate about seeing them thrive. She's affectionately call Elder Betty because of her personable nature. She loves children and enjoys nurturing them. She's also a woman of wise counsel and has counseled thousands of people throughout the years. Elder Betty looks forward to serving you here at MCDC.

    Evangelist Carmen Lopez was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She is a mother of 3 children and 4 adorable grandchildren. She is a Prayer Warrior and is affectionately known as the "Fire Cracker"

    Evangelist Sarah Etti was born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. She migrated to Florida at a young age, and has called it home for over 20 years. Although young, she is passionate about serving children and the community. Evangelist Etti is also passionate about seeing people thrive spiritually and naturally. On her personal time, she enjoys traveling exploring new places and cultures. She serves in many capacities in and out of the church and looks forward to serving you.


     

  • Vricilla Alexander - Minster

    Minister Vriscilla Alexander was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She is the eleventh child of twelve siblings. Ms. Alexander was raised in the church and at the early age she discovered that there was a calling in her life. During her adolescent years she thought she knew what was best for her life and began running from God until she was placed in a position where she could not run no more. She later surrendered and rededicated her life in Christ in 2014. In Christ she is now a new creation. Miss Alexander attended American Trade Institute in Miami FL where she earned her Associates of Science degree in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration/Plumbing (HVAC/P) in 2002. In 2018, she became a member of Mount Calvary Deliverance Church in Tampa Florida under the leadership of Pastor Terrence Shaw she currently serves as a prayer warrior, intercessor, and faithful adjutant to Mount Calvary Holy Churches of America (MCHCA) and Armor Bearer to Co-pastor Catherine show. She is a proud mother of A’mya who is a highlight of her life. 

Our Beliefs


We the Mt. Calvary Deliverance Church Believe in one God , and that He only is God (Exodus 6:3; Isaiah 45:5-6; John 17:3); that He is eternal (Genesis 1:1; Exodus 3:14, 32:40; Psalm 90:21, 102:27; 1 Timothy 1:17; Revelation 1:8, 4:24); infinite in wisdom (Job 11:7-10; Psalm 145:3); goodness (Psalm 36:6, 104:21, 145:9, 16; Matthew 5:45); mercy, love and grace (Psalm 107:1; John 3:16; Luke 1:45; Romans 9:16; Ephesians 1:6-7, 2:4-9; Titus 2:11); power (John 42:2; Matthew 19:26; Luke 1:37); that He is maker of Heaven and Earth (Genesis 1; John 1:3); and that as God He is triune, being revealed as Father, Son and Holy Ghost (Matthew 26:19; 1 Timothy 3:16; 1 John 5:7).


We believe the Father is the first person of the Godhead his revelation comes in knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ whom He makes known (Matthew 16:17). He is the Father of Jesus and the Father of humanity, our Father (Matthew 6:9). He is the One who loved the world so, He gave His only Son (John 3:16). He was unknown to us (John 14:6) and becomes known to us through Jesus Christ (John 14:7).


We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God , the revelation and manifestation of the Word made flesh, co-equal and co-existent, with the Father, and the Holy Ghost. We further believe that in the fullness of time He was manifested in the flesh, and incarnated by the power of the Holy Ghost (Luke 1:34-35), in the womb of the Virgin Mary (John 1:1-4). In John 20:31, “these things are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God; and that believing, ye might have life through His name.”


We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third Person in the Triune Godhead , and that He is ever present and active in the church; convicting (John 14:16m 16:18) and regenerating those who believe in Jesus Christ; dwelling in, sanctifying and comforting believers (John 14:16-17, 17:17); and guiding them into all truths as in Christ Jesus (John 16:13).

Hear, O Israel, The Lord Our God is One God: The one God manifests himself in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. The Father in creation, the Son in redemption, the Holy Ghost, in Resurrection. This is the one true God that we believe in.
